Can The phosphate minus and carbon filter media be added directly in the sump or do we have to buy the AF110 and put the media in there?

Hi,
Any fluidized reactor will work. Also can use passive in a sock, but it will be more effective if used in a type of fluid type reactor. AF reactors are nice, but you can use any reactor

Yes, many such as myself also use Zeo Mix on the bottom, then AF Carbon on top of it, then AF Phosphate Minus on top of the AF Carbon. The set point is a gentle tumble but for the media to not escape the reactor, that is your flow rate

Not sure the size of your tank, but this one is 1.5 liter and I use on my 120 gallon sps tank

Mine is 88gals so I'm guess 1.5 l is ok
