i am restarting my 150 it started leaking last week so i sold my live stock and recieved a new tank from my lfs.

well im redoing my sump and deciding to go with a 40 gallon breeder.
going to be running 2 euro reef 6-3s that should be front to back of each other (middle part of my sump)

far left of my sump will have my return pump and filter sock.

was thinking of putting my refugium on the right side

the 40breeder sump is 36 long. im thinking of my fuge area around12w x18L

i currently have 2 10 gallon lights that are 15 watt.
was thinking i might be able to use them as fuge lights. it would be 30 watts total.

here is a link to the bulb if my fuge area is only 12 x8 inches and 16 inches tall

the water in my sump should be around 8-10 inches when running....

i dont know if im painting a clear picture here or not.
i dont have pics

Everything sounds good. I guess you want to know, most specifically, if the lighting you plan is a good plan. Seems to me it is. The Kelvin rating of the bulbs is pretty close to ideal and, so they should be fine.

yeah i was looking at the current 40 watt pc setup but i figured if its a 50/50 bulb then really im only getting 20 watts of beneficial light.

well, for a refugium, you want the light that closest to 6500K. 40-watts of a bulb in that color rendition would be fine.
