Quick Sump Question

Hey guys have a couple dumb questions lol first is this

Im getting stuff together to build my sump I'll be using a 55 gallon tank I would like to have a fuge,and a mini frag area Now what I am wondering is should I put my skimmer in the sump or use it external? The guy I got the skimmer from never said if it was either way is there anyway to find out? My thinking was I could leave it out have a decent size fuge and a good size frag tank as well.

What is the make/model of the skimmer?

well it was sold to me as a *Volcano skimmer* but I see no markings on it anywhere its huge and is run off a eheim Pump Venturi style if that helps

i just built my sump from a 55 with my skimmer external. it also has a fuge section and a frag section that you mentioned. i can post a few picks later
