Quick wrasse compatibility question

I have a 2-1/2" male filamented flasher wrasse currently in my 75 gallon. At least I think it's a filamented. It was sold to me as a Social Flasher Wrasse, yet the invoice said Threadfin Flasher Wrasse. l'll post a picture when I get home, but it most closely resembles the Filamented. Sort of. I was on a wait list for a Lubbocks Fairy. I got the call yesterday that they have a female in. It's on hold for me now. From all the reading I've done, it says these two should probably get along. Is that true? Also, will the female Lubbocks possibly change to a male? Or will she stay a female because the flasher is a male?

Thanks all.

Lubbocks can be a bit aggressive but since the flasher was there first you may be alright. When I hear Social wrasse it's usually regarding a Longfin fairy wrasse as opposed to a flasher but a pic should put that mystery to rest. I do think the Lubbocks would become a male and be the dominant fish if you do indeed have a flasher wrasse.

I'll get a pic after work today. Kind of hoping the Lubbocks does switch to male, as the coloration is way more pronounced on the males. Definitely doesn't look like a longfin fairy. It has a fairly white belly with yellowy sides and a few red striped going from nose to tail. Tough to explain. But I've been searching all over for a picture online and can't find anything that looks close.

Here's a couple shots of my Threadfin flasher wrasse. Stopped by the LFS and he said they used to be very common, but in the past few years he hasn't been seeing them as often. Is this indeed a Threadfin flasher, or is it something else?

Yup, that's a filamented.

And I also agree; you should be fine with a female lubbocki. She will transition to male with time.

Cool. Thx. I added the Lubbocks last night. She immediately ate up a storm when I fed the others, which I was surprised with. She acted like she'd been in the tank all her life. The flasher 'flashed' her a couple of times. Other than that, they seem to be hanging out like a couple of paired fish. No aggression, just appears to be a lot of curiosity and playing. Hopefully it stays that way. I think the blennie feels a little left out though.
