Quiet one as a closed loop

would a quiet one pump that has 1500gph work as a closed loop on a 50g? it won't have any head loss as it will be level with the tank.

i just don't think i can afford a Sequence, and i don't want to use powerheads.

The new quiet ones are kind of scary when used externally. The flange is a twist lock design with no screws.

The Flange on my QO 3000 has came loose twice now, and stopped the motor. I had to glue it shut until I could get a mag 7 in the mail. I have been very dissapointed with the QO pumps over the years. I have used the 1200, 2200, and 3000. All have crapped out on me. Guess you get what you pay for!

so would something like a mag drive 12 be better. it will sit in a tub of water, but will be drawing and pushing water to and from the tank.

I went from power heads to quiet one closed loop and back to powerheads. quiet one pump was too noisey.
