My Mag12 is very quiet, but then I have it sitting in a sump that's sitting on a concrete floor. Not sure how it would sound if in a stand. Although, I understand you can set them on top of things like mousepads to deaden sound/vibration.
The quietest pumps I have heard are the AmpMaster and Sequence pumps. Most of these will pump more than the 1000-1200 your looking for, but you can turn them down with a valve. Depending on head pressure you might not get much more than what your looking for anyways.
