Hey, what do you guys think the guietest and most efficient external pump is? I have a Blueline 70 HD pump right now and it's pretty loud. How are the Reeflo's?

Thanks,
ken

Don't know what size pump your looking for, but my Sequence Reeflo Barracuda is pretty quiet. I have it running under my stand and I have to open the door on my stand to be able to hear it.

Thanks guys. I'm lookin at something around 1300 or 1400 gallons per hour. Its for a 300 gallon tank.

I've had both the Sequence Dart and Snapper and both are extremely quite usse very little electricity and gives almost no heat transfer.

Agree the Velocity is dead silent. I cannot hear mine at all i have to touch it to confirm its on. They do run kinda hot

Go with the Dart, good flow, efficient, priced right, and you can pinch the discharge down and save a little energy to get the flow you need.

you can always find someone getting rid of one in the sales section and save some money:D

Thanks everyone. The velocity may not give enough flow and looks like it may heat up too much in the summer. I think ill go with the dart.

Most of the big GPH pumps have fans on them, thats where most people complain about noise. I have a small panworld without a fan, and I wouldnt know it was ruuning if I didnt put my hand on it, but have seen some bigger GPH panworlds that had a nice hum due to the fan on them. Just my two cents. Try finding a pump that boasts its quiet running fan maybe?!?!?
