Quietest pump: jebao DC/DCT vs vectra?

I currently have a DC jebao pump that's pretty darn quiet.. however I can still hear the hummmm. Is the vectra any quieter or would it be comparable?

I have both and can say that they both are about the same.

Quietest pump: jebao DC/DCT vs vectra?

Well I have about $200 credit at a store and I'm debating splurging on a second apex DOS. Or the vectra M1. At the moment I don't "need" either so it's a splurge

If the vectra worked worth the apex I would hands down go for it but since it doesn't I don't know if there is any big benefit overt the jebao dct. Especially if it's not quieter (I have a goal of Dead silent tank)

Look at a Reef Octopus VarioS return pump then. They are APEX ready. I cannot comment on how quiet those pumps are since I don't have one.

I have a varios. It's just as quiet as the vectra I had.

So I splurged. Still debating if I'm keeping it but here's my initial findings

Jebao DCT pump. Quiet. But still a faint whirl sound that I can hear from across the room or down the hall. Faint but I hear it

Vectra a very low hum and pretty darn quiet Can notice with head up close and skimmer off.

regarding jebao whining sound, I am testing different plumbing on my new build, and noticed when I used 1/2" return, the sound is quite louder than when I switched to 3/4" plumbing. So if you are restricting the return using a valve, you may want to keep the valve wide open and just reduce the flow using the controller.

I have 3/4 return line and 1" drains. (Bean animal - full siphon. Open siphon and emergency)

I'm still debating if it's worth the price for the overly priced pump but it does have some neat features

I have a Waveline DC10000II and don't hear any hum with my ear next to the stand. With the stand open, I can hear a soft hum.
