quietone 3000 help

i just got a new quietone 3000 and i'm trying ot remove the cover, but this thing jsut wont open. Anybody have an idea how i can open it?? They really need to re-design their covers!!!

I had a hard time with mine as well, I used a monkey wrench to turn it. Mine was real tight as well.

same issue, the seal is really too tight.. it took me awhile to get it open, though wrench may do the trick..

I used a pair of needle nose pliers and opened them all the way up. It just about spanned all the way to the outside of the cover. This provided plenty of leverage to get it to turn. I agree way too tight...

thx guys, found out the trick is to use pliers with rubber handles. Your suppose to use them reversed with the handles to hold the cover and turn

ahahah i was actually considering cracking the cover so i can use the one with the male treaded end

When you get the pump it has instructions to do it. They say use the rubber handles of some pliers. I just got a quite one 5000. Its a great pump. Really quiet just like the name implies.
