I have a 55 gallon QT with a Blue Throat Trigger Fish (around 5" long).
Had hi in QT for 30 days. He ate great from the first day. to date no signs of any parasites. Last Sunday (after 23 days), I treated the tank with prazipro just to rule anything out. I then did a 30% water change (15 gallons) yesterday afternoon. Today I went head and dosed with Quinine Sulfate (just as a preventative).
I dosed around 2 hours ago and am now wondering should I have ran carbon first to make sure the prazipro was out. It has been 7 days since the prazipro treatment and a 30% water change yesterday.
I am second guessing myself on dosing the QS without running carbon first. Fish seems fine. I could quickly add carbon and run that for a few days and then dose again with QS or am I better off leaving it be?
thanks,
Mike
