Quinine sulphate- how it affects corals and inverts?

Has anybody got conclusive research regarding quinine sulphate and how it affects reef aquarium inhabitants especially sps corals? Reason for asking this is i have seen opinions swinging all over the place.

I'm fairly certain QS is a potent algecide like its cousin CP (chloroquine phosphate), so using it with zooxanthellate organisms (corals) would be ill-advised. Hopefully someone else will chime in with cited research that confirms.

^yes. CP kills algae including the zooxanthellae in photosensitive corals.
