I just purchased a new 180 with the Twin-Flow overflow. The right side works great, the left side will run for a period of time and then it will "Flush" all by itself. Just as if you were blocking the air inlet !?!?!?!
Note: I'm still running with Fresh H2O in test mode before I wipedown and fill with RO/DI salt water.
1) I have swapped left and right sides.
2) I have checked the level of the tank.
3) checked for obstructions in the plumbing.
4) tried a 100 different height adjustments.
5) backed the return pump down to the point that there was barely any water coming out at all, so I don't think that's it.
What I found out tonight was the two overflows in the rear of the tank are slightly different. On the side that is having the problem it has more water entering, as the slots are a little deeper in the tank and the solid piece behind is between 1/16th and 1/8th lower.
I know there are different methods used for quieting a overflow and was looking for suggestions.
Thanks
