i have a marine aquarists quiz book so i figure ill post some hear and there just for u all to have something to try and answer

the symmetry of corals and anemones is
a)bilateral
b)amorphous
c)radial
d)eight tentacled:

My first guess was C, because of the Anenomes... But I don't think all corals are symmetrical, are they???

Well, the coral as a whole does not look symmetrical, but it's the individual "polyp" that is counted as the animal. The non-symmetrical part is more of a skeletal structure.

I believe that's a tricky question too. Because I believe some corals/anemones are bi-radial. So is that considered radial?

Also, if I remember correctly from invertebrate class, they are only radially symmetric in 6 or 8 folds.

I was going to guess radial too actually. Then Donny nerded it up for us, so yeah...radial.

Most all of my LPS aren't radial though, and they're "individual polyps"???

Yup, tricky question...

It's radial. Bilateral would be like fish. Amorphous means blended togther with no "pattern", and hence cannot possess symmetry of any kind.

Donny, that's the 2nd time today you've been accused of doing that :D But yeah, I'd say C too.

Randy, if you look at something like a candy cane or a galaxia they have sorta spines on the skeleton from which the flesh comes out. On a galaxia it's pretty pronounced that the skeleton has radial symmetry.

the answer is (c)corals and anemones are round in horizontal cross section without aa dorsal or ventral surface thus their symmentry is radial. they have neither a riht nor left side but thry do have up and down ends....... would u all like me to post some more

if the pump on an aquarium system for a 125 gallon aquarium produces 45 gph at the input to the tank then what is the number of tank volume turnover in 24 hours

a)none this is a trick question
b)10
c)8.6
d)6.5
