but...40 is NOT too low to make perfect product water.

Its too low to have the optimum production rate...but as i said...thats what storage containers are for. If you have a emergency and need to pull a huge water huge for some reason, the fact that you are making 80 or 50 gpd isnt really going to do you much good....you need it sitting there on hand and ready in the first place. jmo

Well, let me ask you this... if the membrane valve was open and flushing the membrane, there is no way the psi would be 40 correct?
