My raccoon butterfly won't eat no matter what I give him I've tried:
Pellets
Flakes
Krill
Plankton
Clam
Prawn
What should I do?

Open fresh clam on half shell? Live blackworms? Minced scallop/shrimp from the grocery store?

give him time, im assuming your talking about the one you got yesterday, they arent the same as a simple hardy damsel, he may take a while

Welcome to the world of bfl's. They call the raccoon easy but what that really means is the easiest of the bunch. Feed just enough for him to see there is food in the tank once a day and cross your fingers.

Is he breathing fast? If so, treat for ich or flukes.

If not, you could try pieces of clams. I add selcon or vitamins to the pieces. Once he eats aggressively, you mush a piece of the food you want him to eat with clam pieces (with your finger) and feed him. After he eats that aggressively, let him starve one day. Then feed only the food you intend. I personally used NLS pellets.

This has worked for all of my butterflies that were picky!

Never mind, you got him eating. Congratulations!

Overtime you need to make sure that he eats a balanced diet and not just scallops to prevent Hole in the head.
Consider my method to wean him onto pellets.

Alternatively you can just soak his scallops in vitamins and feed nori and frozen food as a supplement.
