Thank you but I don't see any ceramic bushings. All there are are rubber caps on either end of the ceramic shaft.

I'm not familiar with the pump brand and model. But I may be able to answer part of your question. My understanding with the 1/4th turn you are asking about is a common design on magnet driven pumps. Most mag pumps will at one time or another start in the wrong direction. The 1/4th "slop" is make sure the motor starts or corrects itself into the right direction.

This is from a 2400, but shouldn't be that much different, if any the shaft and the impeller maybe fused and not detachable....


These are the only moving parts, this assembled go in to the casing where the internal magnets are which switches polarity when current passes at the rate of the current frequency (what are we here at 50hz or 60hz... one of those anyways)...
