Racoon butterflyfish with ich, what to do?

It would help a lot if you would post the information suggested in my first post above. That would let us know what is there and provide coherent recommendations. We don't know what is in your dt and thus don't really know what treatment there is feasible and what other live stock might be affected.

As others said, don't waste time and money (and potential livestock loss) with "reef-safe" ich medications. If it's safe on corals/inverts, it's safe on ich too :)

The only cures are copper, hypo, and tank transfer. Take your pick and start the treatment.

After years of experience, ich is like a cold. If the racoon is eating and acting normal, i would let him be. Ich is ever present in a tank and only needs a touch of stress to bring it out. Treating with anyform of copper is deadly to most inverts and smooth skin fish and eals in dosages high enough to treat ich. At this point the more you move him, or chase him around and stress everyone else in the tank, the more likely you will be to induce ich to odidium, which is far worse than ich. Stable temps, normal feeding and everything will clear up on its own. If you think the eel will stay away, a cleaner shrimp will help.

First of all, my raccoon is not eating and he hides behind the filter all day, poor guy. Second, i think he got stressed from the transfer from the LFS to my dt. Also, the fish i want to get(tangs, angels, and butterflyfish) would eat the cleaner shrimp.

Regardless of how it was stressed the fish has ich. Treat the fish properly. Also, you make it sound like you are not done stocking your tank. That process will cause stress and possibly cause future outbreaks. Fix your current problem and then treat all future fish or you will keep posting for help when you can easily eliminate this problem.
