Radiata in 40 breeder?

I really want a Radiata Lionfish for my 40 gallon breeder, its only tankmate would be a fu manchu, and maybe a dwarf fuzzy. I know it's a largeish fish, but since they don't really swim that much, maybe I could pull it off? I know they're slow growers, and they're one of my dream fish.

You will need a bigger tank if you want one. LA states a tank of 70 gals or higher which means a min of a 4' tank. The 40b is 3' and a 40b also isn't 40 gals, it's 47.5 gallons :D

I know about what LA lists, but I feel like another foot wouldnt really make a difference. Also the 40b is wider, which I think would matter more for this specific fish, since it has those wide fins and still doesn't spend a lot of time moving. 70 is also listed for the long nose batfish and I remember you saying I could probably pull off that tank size with it. I mean I'll get something else if I really have to but I really want this fish.

Yes I did, but that was because that fish doesn't swim and only walks on the bottom. I suppose you can get it and see how it goes, but be prepared to do something if it doesn't work out.
