Radioactive Dragon Eye Zoa's taking over...

Title pretty much says it. My Zoa's have been exploding recently, particularly my Dragon Eyes. Is there any way of slowing them down other than pulling out rocks and shaving them with a razor blade? They have literally bound my rocks together and will have to tear them to even move the aquascape. I am also more than a little nervous about Palytoxin (even with nitrile gloves and safety glasses). And sorry about the photo quality, new phone and haven't gotten used to the camera yet.

Remove the rocks with the zoas from the tank. Bring it to your LFS and offer the rock for free for replacement rock.

I used to just rip mine out with some tweezers. Any remianing tissue that wouldn't budge was then smothered with epoxy. It was definitley a little tedious at times, but it did work.

I had some green bay packers that took over a rock and started killing off an SPS. I ended up trimming the SPS off and relocating it, and I traded the rock for something else.

Throw some rubble on top of the colonies and slice off rubble chunks every now and then to trade or give to your fellow reefkeepers. After slicing off the rubble the colonies should spend their time spreading to the new rubble you replace it with instead of spreading out over to your other rocks.
