Usually in the morning around 8am I turn on all 4 lights in the tank. The 2x39watt T5 10k and the 2x39watt T5 Actinic. I turn them all off around 8pm (and moon lights come on). Seems like the zoas are not all opened and some seem closed much of the day. Well today I just turned on the actinics and all the zoas opened up quickly and also my frogspawn is opened up. Is it possible all 4 lights are too much light? It is a 40B and the zoas are exactly in the middle and the FS is on the bottom. I also feed phytoplantkon once every day or two.

I had these lights on a timer but the timer isn't working correctly so I just manually turn everything on. What is a good lighting schedule for these corals?

The zoas are multiplying and seem very healthy. FS too. I have had them around 2 months and there are probably 10-20% more polyps.

I would probably have to say that turning on your lights on at the same time might not make them too happy. If you can, I would run the Actinic from 8-8 and then the 10k whites from 10-6. Just a suggestion. Since your zoos are multiplying and seem healthy I wouldn't change too much...and would start with this to see if it has any affect. Usually you don't run whites the same length of time as blues is my understanding.
