Radion Fan

Hi I posted this in the general section but thought maybe more luck here.

I've a Gen3 30w manufactured in July 2015. The fan is on constantly, even when the lights are completely off. Is this normal? and can I disable this?

Radions fans run 24/7 and I'd plugged in it is not avoidable. I have a tank right next to my bed so I have my radion plugged into a timer that disconnects the power. Been doing this fir a few years no problem
