Hey I am about to setup a 60 gal, 48"x24"x12". Due to certain circumstances I have to place them at least 12" above the water surface. What percentage should I be running them at? Plan to keep this tank as sps and clam dominated. Thanks!!
I would not go above 60% to start and adjust from there. You are 4 inches higher than you need to be so you will have a decrease in par but you will have more spread. . I would do a 20k plan.

hey thanks for the reply! i have a 30 gal 24"x24"x12" with a radion 8" above the surface and i am at 64%. with that being said, wouldn't 60% be too low to start with?
I recommend enabling acclimation mode. This will gradually increase your lights brightness for a specified period of time. By doing this your livestock will have time to adjust to the new lighting.
