I have 2 kessils 360w over my 48x20x20, but i am gonna upgrade to 60x24x24 soon. I love my kessils. But i really want to try the radion. Heard alot about them but never try them. Should i buy 3 radions xr15 pro to mix with 2 360w. Will they be enough and good result?
Please give me any thoughts, advices, thanks

My $0.02 - Go check them out first, then buy 1... and see if you like the way it looks relative to the Kessils. I have 2 A360s and really wanted the Radion for controllability... got the XR15, which is essentially A360 equivalent, and put one A360 and the XR15 on the same tank to see.

IMO ... Kessil kicks its butt all the way out to Pluto's orbit purely on how well blended and nice the light is. I got a major very psychodelic discoball (misaligned collors) effect from the Radion. Not something you remember when you are used to Kessils - which spoil you with how natural, sunny and Halide like they look.

Spacey :)

Whats interesting is that I do not find that issue comparing my Hydras to my Kessils. I actually like the Hydras better.

I know it is completely wrong to go by brightness perceived by the eye, but my hydras at 50% look about the same as my Kessils at 95%. And the controllability really puts the hydras over the top. My original plan was to mix them and I still might, but currently the kessils are over my qt tank and I am considering just supplementing the hydras with a couple cheap T5s for a few hours a day if that tells you anything.

The mixing is effected by how high the light is above the water. Although ecotech recommends 8" I have mine at 12". At this height the light gives better coverage and blends better. It is also less intense (these lights are overpowered) and gives more room to work under.
