I'm considering a 48x48x24 or 36x36x24 mixed reef tank.

What arrangement/configuration of XR15 Pro and/or XR30 Pro's would you recommend for each tank size? I'd also like to use the diffusers.

From the research and talks I've had for the 48X you'd need 4 of the XR30's at a minimum to avoid shadows etc or 4 plus some T5. For the 36x it gets tougher and depends on what you plan to keep where, for my 300DD I was told I'd probably end up with 6 30's for a heavier SPS load for a more mixed combo you could probably do 2 30's as long as you added some T5.

That's not from personal experience just a lot of reading and talking to people who have used them. I ended up just staying with an 8 bulb T5 fixture I had that grew SPS like crazy.
