Radion xr30w for a 75g

Is a single xr30 sufficient for a standard 48" rectangle 75g? It's not rimless so it has a lip with the divider in the middle. I will not have any sps. I have softies and lps and an rbta anemone.

i would say you would need 2 of them. ecotech says they cover about 24" each unit.
your sides might be a little dark. i got one on my solana.

Yeah the problem is twofold for one Radion on a 75. One the length is too long to cover and secondly the central brace as you mention is going to be a problem because it will block a fair amount of light with a centrally mounted Radion, something your sorely can't afford to lose with only one over the 75 as it is. If you want LED but don't want to pay the price for two Radions you might be better off with two AI's instead. You may not plan on any SPS but a RBTA is going to require pretty good lighting IMHO.

I have a standard 75 like you do with a brace in the middle. I have 2 Radions over it. I promise you one would never work. I just run a LPS/Softies tank. One covers pretty much half of the tank and you definitely need another to light up the other side. Even then your going to get a very slight shadow under the center brace. Not much at all though. There is no way you can stretch a Radion to 4 feet and as stated before the brace in the middle would be a problem if you centered it.
