My tank is 30L x 24D x 22H and I'm looking to upgrade my current lighting.
I'm currently looking at the Radion xr30 pro but was wondering if this was overboard?
I have a radion xr30 pro gen 3 on my 60 cube (24x24x24) from what I been told it has a 30 inch light spread ...not sure what kind of corals you currently have in your tank
Also, if your'e worried about the spread you can also buy the TiR lenses which will spread more light outward! I pondered the same question with my tank only being 22" deep. In the end I was advised and glad I went with the XR30's. Even with those I keep both SPS and LPS and I have my light dialed back to 65%.
Thanks for the help guys.
my tank is mainly zoa/shroom garden.
Now is there any good reason to get the pro over the regular xr30w? If I can achieve better growth and colour with the pro I'd rather spend the extra for it.

In my honest opinion if your going to spend the money why not go with the pro..it comes with the TIR lense for wider spread and addition led colors.i always prepare myself for the future as you might want to experiment with sps corals and you won't have to worry

The Standard TIR lenses are not "wide angle" lenses, you would have to purchase those separately. The XR15 comes with both lenses, it's the only one that does.
As far as my opinion on the light choice for the OP.....I'd do the 15 not the 30, and you certainly don't need the 30 pro. Those are for tanks over 36" tall.
Most people don't even use the regular 30's much over 75-80%
While I get it that the 30 pro is "only another $100" it's still rarely necessary.
The OP's coral choice does not need either 30"s.
