So as some may know, the old radium 150 has been discontinued and the newer version is not yet available stateside.

Last night I was browsing the tunze site and came across there lamps. The model number for the 10k 150 DE bulb closely resembles the model number of the old radium 150 20k. Could they be the same? It does not sound too crazy that tunze would enlist radium to make them a bulb. Only problem is, it seems no one has ever used it.

Here's the box from my old radium 150

And here's the tunze lamps

I'm still waiting to hear back from roger to see if there even available. But the 150 radium is my favorite bulb, so it would be nice to get another one.

Could be, I think Roger would tell if it was true. You like this bulb better than the Phoenix 14K bulb?

I prefer a white halide with a tint of purple/blue. The 150 radium seems to give me exactly what I want. However, I also run multiple LEDs for actinics, a mix of cree xte royal blue, rapidled UV and xpg cool white.

As for the Phoenix, that was my bulb of choice for many years. I have ran it in both 150 DE and 250 DE. The 250 was ran on a magnetic and a icecap electronic. The 150 was ran on a sunpark(current USA) electronic and a galaxy select-a-watt. The Phoenix looks better on the galaxy and he magnetic ballast. It was too blue for me on the icecap and sunpark ballast. Just seemed to turn everything blue. I like a white light to show the true color of my corals.

RX7S is the designation for the socket it connects to so they will both be the same.

So rx7s just specifies socket placement, I got you. Was worth a shot though. I still have yet to find a single thread or review of anyone who's used a tunze bulb.
