Rainbow BTA

Just got myself a new rainbow about 2 weeks ago. looks great, stuck to a rock nice and inflated and bubbly, if thats a word. Only thing is it isn't sticky. trying to feed it small pieces of shrimp and he sort of retracts instead of grabbing on to the food. is this normal, do i just keep trying? have been leaving the food near the mouth but i dont know if he actually eats or it gets swept away in the current or by a thief. i have a rock flower on the other side of my 75 that grabs on as soon as the food touches him.

From what experience I have with my two BTAs they aren't overly sticky, nothing like my LTA is.

apparently they dont like their bubbles touched. i tried last night to touch the skinny part below the bubble the food stuck. so there you go.
