Rainbow monti blue changed to brown

My Rainbow Monti is 2/3 of the way up in my 29g mixed reef. 4 x24w T5HO ATIs and phosphates are 0.3 all my parameters are great, my concern is it possible I'm giving this frag too much light? Anyone kept one in a similar setup?

Anyone have any ideas? My monti is in the direct flow and I thought appropriately placed height wise..I want to try and get it to color up, could I be hitting it with too much light? Or is it more than likely it's not enough?

If you phosphates is really .3 that's probably part of the issue. How do the other corals look?

Too much light and it will go pale not brown. Phos reading of 0.3 is very high. That could cause it to brown for sure. I'm not sure those love a lot of light. Mine are pretty pale blue, but they are getting blasted with light. Try to incorporate some GFO but start slowly. It can take months for a coral to color up, so don't expect a change over night, or even in a couple of weeks.

Mine browned out awhile back, I believe from high nitrates, from neglecting my sump. After getting the nitrates back down, its colored up nice again.

Sorry guys...totally made a typo..phosphates are .03...not .3 I tried moving it slightly lower I the tank, still in direct flow and even in just one day..it's not as brown nd I see a slight blue coming back, and also see more polyps than I have..they've been receeded recently but they look slightly extended right now

higher light and it will color up. i got brown frag from the center of a lower light colony from a friend and all the parts that have grown in my tank are bright blue. The original frag is still mostly brown but coloring up slowly

Though its a different type of sps, i received a valida that was all brown, put it in higher light and its now purple, green, and an orangish color, i believe the term i see it online for it is a tri color valida. If i'm spelling the name of the acro right. I would agree it would need more light.

My monti is coloring up more and more daily..I moved it to a more direct flow area and that seems to have dine the trick...I still have a red digi that I can't get to open up :/
