Rainbow Montipora has become a drowned out show name meaning any Montipora with new polyps as red and fading to green as they get older, with a blue to purple encrusting growth. There are a few species of Montipora that do this, you have two different species there judging by the new corallite growth.
So to answer your question, both are Rainbow Montipora.
If you want to go even further you can put lineage on them to distinguish them even further. Add the store or reefers name that you know of the furthest origin. Ex. "John Smiths Rainbow Montipora cf. mollis"
Thanks Jason for your input. I should have use this picture instead of the first one.
It is making a come back slowly.
As for the 2nd picture, originally it was sold to me as Superman at the LFS. It had the baby blue body and red polyps. After a month in the tank, it developed a rainbow color. I forgot that I have a third "Rainbow" monti.
