3 Rainfordi arrived from Bluezoo today.

All arrived with ich.

Will update with pictures as tank transfer happen.

Butterfly trio.

The majestic (in the same tank) seems to possibly have uronema.
I will formalin dip on the next transfer.

Should I separate majestic from them?

Majestic is the only one affected so far. I put metronidazole in the tank.

Butterflies or gobies?

My butterfly went through cupramine with no issue.

That stinks but it seems you're taking it calmly & doing what you can.

Do you think they shipped them with visible Ich symptoms or did it visible cysts develop in the bag during shipping? Did you notify the seller? I would think they owe you a credit in the event of death, even if that's beyond their normal guarantee. Best of luck.

I posted in the bluezoo section.
They are asking for a photo and they did not mention any refund.

I only have a cell phone and I got back from work at 9pm yesterday, so I'm going to try to take one today.

They will be transferred to another tank with a formalin dip before.

How do the three Rainfordi deal with being a trio. I've not heard of keeping them in groups before, but I've thought about getting a second one for my current specimen.

Are they eating for you yet? My Rainfordi and my Sunburst butterfly were both tricky to get eating. I had to use a fresh live oyster to finally get a feeding response.

Hope they work out for you.

They bicker occasionally but nothing serious. The big one ate tiny particles of larry's food.
The small ones didn't really eat. I will try clams next time.

I purposely ordered 3 to prevent one from being singled out.

Still fat but not eating much.

No spots left. one more transfer to go.

There is a clear hierarchy. Minor chasing.

Good luck! Keep us posted, and keep an eye on the chasing... it can get bad very quickly. I've never seen more than one in a tank long term.

OK still not eating.

Pretty much thrown everything

1) spectrum pellets- sampled once and spat out. won't touch anymore.

2) LRF- take bits here and there. won't really eat it. Stopped eating it.

3) clams- ignore

4) mysis - sparked interest, but won't try

They are still fat and healthy.

Their poo was dark, so bluezoo must have fed them something dark in color.
I noticed that they tend to go after tiny or dark pieces.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried the fresh oyster?

Definitely don't microwave the oyster. Do you have a skimmer on the tank?

See if you can find a seafood department that has oysters and have them shuck one for you still alive.
