Rainford's Goby quarantine strategy

I am adding a Rainford's Goby to my 30 gallon DT and wish to give him a good quarantine first. After perusing the info on this site and others it seems this fish has requirements similar to a mandarin but can tolerate a smaller aquarium. My fishie is on hold at the store and I have witnessed him sifting the sand in his tank there. My plan is to set up my QT with two tupperware containers on the bottom. One will contain a cup of sand from his store tank. The other will contain a cup of sand from my DT. I also plan to place a piece of live rock from my DT into the QT. As an insurance policy I am going to buy a bottle of Tigger Pods from the LFS and put 1/4 in the QT, 1/4 in with some phyto to culture, 1/4 into my refugium to repopulate, and reserve 1/4 in the fridge for unforseen complications. Should I feed anything else into the QT for him? I was considering some Phytofeast and a small amount of Coral Frenzy. Any other suggestions?

Thus far all is proceeding according to plan. The Rainsford's goby was eating within an hour of entering the tank. Rather than starting him in a near sterile quarantine tank I decided to put him in my live rock curing tank. I removed all but one piece of rock and siphoned out as much debris as I could. Plenty of algae and debris remained. He seems to show no preference between the two sand beds but really likes picking at the algae that is growing on the rock and walls. He hides under the rock at night but he does not seem skittish during the day.
