Raised Scales

Hey guys, I bought some fish the other day, two of which I didn't see before buying. Anyways, the black clown goby is really sick. He's more of a tan colour (likely due to stress), and he's "œpineconing" really badly. All of his scales, especially on his head, are all sticking out, making him look fuzzy. He doesn't seem particularly bloated, though.

I immediately put him in a separate quarantine tank and began treating with Kanaplex and ParaGuard, and I've been doing a 50% water change everyday. I got him on Tuesday, and I've been treating him since then.

He refuses to eat (he doesn't seem emaciated), and he's extremely stressed. I've also lowered the temperature in his tank to 73°F to slow down the illness. Is there anything more I should do? I know he's sick, but I've been contemplating putting him in the 29g with the yellow clown goby and three firefish. If so, I'd do medicated baths with him. The rest of the fish seem really healthy and are very confident.

Like, what do you think? I read that dropsy isn't typically considered contagious, but I know immune compromised fish can be a vector for disease and can cause other fish to get sick. I'm just wondering if being in a larger tank with more stable parameters and a (similar) species friend might help his immune system, because he's just so stressed. Thanks :).

Woah, disregard this thread! The store just got back to me and told me he's a bearded goby. Like, fudge, I was about to euthanize a perfectly healthy fish!
