I have a 20 gallon reef tank with really just corals... and one sebae anemone i prepared for my plans..

i also have a 55 gallon FOWLR tank... with a false perc, porcupine puffer, and a humu picasso trigger... and also a clarkii...

i really want to try breeding clown's and i have been reading the logs and stories in this site... about rasing baby clowns and breeding... which clownfish do you think will have a better chance breeding m clarkii or false perc? also if its the false perc, ima pair it up with a bigger true prec, becuz my false perc is small...

Thanks

:D :D :D

omg i forgot.... my main question was...

do you think i can raise the babies with their parents in the 20 gallon reef?? wil the parents play with the babies??

i have a sponge filter in it.. so no babies will be sucked in...

and also, if it works.. i will just drop the phyto in the tank.... or do u think this is all too complicated...

i really want to see the parents raise the babies...

Nope, they and all your other fish will have a healthy dinner.

You need to seperate them. Clownfish do not raise their young even in the wild. This is why they hatch at night to avoid being eaten.

False percs are easier to get to breed than Clark's, and they tend to grow faster.

I can't agree with this statement...

Clarks actually are quicker to spawn and produce larger easier to care for fry. Ocellaris are still fairly quick to spawn, produce fairly large/ fairly easy to care for fry, but win out on how quickly you can find takers for 1000's of babies. Clarks can be a tough sell.
