Raising Mysid

Has anyone tried to raise Mysid shrimp and been able to obtain a sustainable population?

I have , they grow like crazy and eat flake 3 or 4 times thier size . I started with 4 or less individuals , 1 female with eggs and now have a rough guess of a hundred or more in less than 6 months . Im in the process of setting up a breeding system for them . Pm me or give me a call and well shoot the **** .

Right now I dont do anything special . They are very easy to raise in a normal tank (without fish) just by feeding . Ive just basically let my tank sit and they have mutiplied like mad . The babies are pinhead small and white but they free swim in a massed ball in a safe area . I started with a couple in my sump , they quickly overtook that and migrated to the main display . Without fish in there they have slowly massed in the there to . Now Im just dedicating a tank or two tied into my frag system for them to breed . Basically anything you would do to raise pods (podpile , fishless , etc. ) will be relevant , but these guys can catch , swim and eat flake and pellets bigger than them .

I did I left my cell # twice and called back 3 times , your way to busy man . But hey thats not necessarily a bad thing . Ill try you tomorrow . Sharkbait I didnt buy them , my father had them somehow show up in his tank , I am guessing the aquadreams LR he had recently added to his fuge . Looks like youll be able to get them from Todd though . You can always bribe me with a frag to suck some out for you to . Eaglesrx I dont do anything special . They can handle a good amount of flow and are obviously surviving in large numbers as I have a ton of the buggers . Like I said they started from 4 or less individuals , 1 female holding to populate my whole sump and display . You can actively see them courting , gravid females and tightly formed masses of free swimming larvae .
