raising ph?

If your corals are doing well and you don't seem to have excessive nutrient issues, I wouldn't mess with your pH.

While measuring pH can be helpful (e.g., you discover it's 7.5 or 8.8 after a water change) in alerting you that you need to take action, I wouldn't mess with it. 8.0 is totally fine. I saw a TOTM that was absolutely amazing and I recall it's pH was something like 7.8 - 8.0, before and after the light cycle.

dkH of 10 is probably ok, but I prefer to keep it around 7.5 - 8'ish and no higher. I noticed my SPS do not do well when I crank it up....although my pH does increase more overall.

I agree - Your PH is fine. all too often when people set out to raise or lower their PH, they end up causing severe problems. FWIW..I have found in almost all instances where someone says their PH is really high/low..it is a testing error. How are you measuring PH? Again, if it is 8.0..you are fine.

I think it is important to remember what kind of salt you are using. A lot of the time people complain about high alk. or low calcium etc. and they try and fix it. Each salt brand will give you different params. I use instant ocean, so I get high dkh. It isnever low, but my calcium is always low if I do not dose. So I dont have to by dkh buffer... just add some calcium chloride. Just a little side note.. lol

how do i raise my ph??always stays at 8.0. my calcium is between 400-410 and my dkH is 10. I keep my temp at 79-80.

Open some windows and let some fresh air to the tank. Excessive Co2 will depress pH. But a pH from 7.8-8.5 is acceptable. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones to have a pH of 8.0. Your Calcium and Alkalinity are both fine.
