Raising ph?

My ph is testing at between 7.4 and 7.8 (using api test kit) but my dkh it takes 26 drops to change it to yellow (api test kit also). Is there a way to raise the ph without raising the dkh? I am not sure what to do.

It is probably a winter oxygenation issue. To be sure, you can take a glass of your water, aerate it for an hour (outside is best) and then retest, and I bet the PH rises significantly. You can improve surface agitation, or skimming with an air line run outdoors. You could also drip kalk to try to raise ph, but if you don't need the alk/calc it isn't really a good solution. If everything is healthy I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yeah all numbers are ok otherwise and this is my new 125 seems to have finished cycling already since the ammonia is nothing and the nitrites are nothing and the nitrates are between 10-15.

Ahh, thank you!

I've been trying to raise the ph in my change water for days. I was bubbling it using an old protein skimmer pump and only getting a little rise. I ran the suction tube out the window and after about an hour I can already see it rising!
