I have a 150w sunpod on my 24 inch 15g grow out tank. I'm trying to get a better light spread on the tank.
I'm currently running the stock bulb, but I just got the pheonix 14k, but haven't installed it yet. Would building a square "false hood" - topless for the aquarium and raising the sunpod say 4 inches - would that give better light coverage or would I lose too much par in doing this? I feel the 12 inches in the center of my 15g growout get good lighting, but the 6 inches on either side are indirectly lit (not as much light).
Thoughts on this?
