Does it happen after you dose? Could be precipitation.

Measure the tank daily. When it happens again see if any levels have decreased.

HEY!

I was thinking the same EXACT thing, but i tested after it happened and they are at the same levels. Ca- 420 , Alk- 10, and Mg 1350

So i was thinking that maybe i have too much flow and thats causing the precipitation, but i dont think thats the case because flow seems right where it should be.

Im not going to dose for a couple weeks and see if it happens again? hmmm

I just actually had an event like this. Tank got very cloudy.

It was late and the only thing I could do was manually overflow the skimmer every minute or so. Turns out I think it was a clam spawn. I ended up with a skimmer container that looked well like a bucket full of... well it was pretty gross.

That would make sense, but i have nothing thats spawning :( Ill see what happens after not dosing if no one else has any ideas!

Thanks for your imput bud!

Do you change filter socks? Do you wash the with soap or anything. I got some cloudiness when i dosed too much vodka before as well.

PS Sounds like we pretty much have the same tank setup I would be interested to see a few pics of your tank so see if you have done anything different than me.

I change the socks about once every 3 days. Clean them in the washer with bleach. Rinse then 2x's and let them air dry.

Ill get some pics up once i get back from vacation!
