Welcome to Jackson Area Reef Club, Raquel!! :celeb:

Raquel had previously tried submitting a club member application, but somehow it fell through the cracks. It went through that time. You obviously are already active on our forum, so I'll skip the standard intro information.

Thank you for being an active member on the forum and I know you enjoyed winning at the raffle last meeting. :thumbsup:

Thanks! I really enjoy it so far! I especially love the contests and raffles, so keep em' coming. lol Thanks to everyone on here and with the JARC for all of your valuable knowledge and help in fixing up my tank. I plan on spreading the word and should have a couple of new members at the next meeting.

We named the hermits Sebastian and Mr Krabs
 
Here is one of my scarlets. They are fun to watch. My randal pistol tries to keep them away from his home, and it can get pretty funny at times.

I personally think hermit crabs have no brains at all. It makes it fun to watch them do things.

Which ever filter feeder we get first is going to get really fat with all the little micro critters roaming the tank.
 
You may want to check your water parameters. If there is any cycling left, then I would hold off on the shrimp. I know you have clowns you are going to add, so I would probably put those in when the cycle is done. Clowns are very hardy unlike the inverts.

I know it is difficult, but take it slow and things will work out much better. After the clowns have been in there a while, your tank will be more able to take on a bigger bio-load. Then just gradually add to the tank a little at a time.

Thanks for the advise. Our water parameters are dialed in just right. We got the SG to 1.025 just like we want it and nitrates and nitrites range from trace to nothing so the cycle is working.

BSL's salinity is very similar to ours so I know that didn't shock the little guy during acclimation and drip for the first 1 1/2 hours after we got him.

He was very active throughout Friday until the watchman goby went crazy digging his sand fort. It's not like he was listless from the time we got him. He was very active feeding and moving around (we nicknamed him spider shrimp).

I'm leaning to shock from both rapid transport to BSL then transfer to my tank (he just came in that day) and the chaos of the watchman.
