Wankelrx, those are awesome and simply amazing! What are the names? I love the second one in your first post and the last one too!

Ya I have the red dragon and these poylps are more red than the red dragon is....go figure. Although maybe to you the red dragon is actually red. IDK

Can some more people please chime in here cause I think Im going crazy.... Do the polyps look more red/maroon or brown? If everybody says brown than the discussion will be over and I can go get my eyes checked.

Looks like maroon to me, when I hear red I visualize a fire truck red.

The first array of pics by wankelrx are courtesy of a local LFS here in the GTA, not sure about the second set. Totally high end acros, around $100 per inch or so.

Every one of those Wankel posted are from RR.

I have the first three coming in in a couple of weeks.

They're importing to the USA now :)

I know people are going to ask, the first three have been in captivity for a year and a half...longer than the average new Tyree coral (I only asked about the first three).

I wish they were mine!

Yeah those are pictures posted on another forum by Reef Raft out of Toronto, I think.

I think RR attempted to name some if them. I'll check on it later.

Congrats! Was wondering if anyone had received them yet. Guess customs is still the hold up.

Post pics when you get em!

Probably won't be until the week after next.

Hmm I wonder what a wild acro looks like after it's driven around for a few hours, then acclimated, then shipped, then acclimated again. :lolspin::hammer:

I'm guessing the wind in your sails will be gone by then. I can't even imagine spending $700+ on something I have only ever seen one photo of.

Anyways... Best of luck with them.

Why are you trying to make him feel bad about his purchase? Maybe I'm misreading your post and if I am I'm sorry.

Logzor is excited, as would I be if I were waiting for those corals. I doubt he spent $700 on those frags, but even if he did, who cares? I hope his frags are beautiful and posts pictures that make us all drool

I respect your opinion and understand where you are coming from but I would like to make some corrections.

1. These corals (at least the first three) have been in captivity for over a year (confirmed by Reef Raft themselves, also confirmed by a GTA local who has been to their store). I confirmed this via PM by both parties.

2. Total was under $400 with shipping.

I tried my best to do my due diligence in this purchase and feel like the reward outweighs the risk.

I have the feeling that you don't hope the best for me. LOL

They should come out and post online how long each coral has been in captivity. That way the question is dealt with and done. Why PM you this information but not put it in the thread. It only makes sense to me.

Also Logzor....do you know if they are fragged before or after crossing the border? Also have you seen any new pictures? I know that picture of the purple rain is from May......which was the first time I heard of this coral.

I'm not being a pessimist as hope these frags are all people are hoping for.....but just trying to get to the facts.

Congrats on the purchase, they are beauties (seen the colonies personally). Let us know how you make out with them!
