rare hawaiian fish

Can anybody tell me what are some rare fish in Hawaii? One of my friends is a diver over there. Is it legal for him to catch the fish and ship them to me?

I believe the Black Tang lives in Hawaii. You have to check the law with fish and game to see whats legal. Like you are allowed to catch I think 3 or 4 Yellow tangs in Hawaii.

that was proposed law about the yellow tangs. Black tangs are mostly collected on Christmas island. The rare fish usually caught by divers who go deep. 100-200ft deep. Don't know the skill level of your friend. Regards, tim

Pare is a disfficult term to decribe when talking about fish. A fish could be "rare" because of how deep the water is where they are fpund, can only be found in areas that are illegal to catch fish, the distance needed to travel to catch the fish i.e clipperton island where clarions are found. Then some fish are just that rare. The personatus is a rare fish. Here are some pics of rarities in Hawaii. The first 4 I currently have and I have a Dragon Moray coming, but it is from Japan.
