Never buy single polyp frags. Always buy atleast 2. Gives the coral a better chance at growing. Mine are about 20 inches below my ATI 6 bulb fixture. Medium to high flow. Loving life. I also have 3 about 30 inches below the fixture and they aren't as happy. I've always had Rastas in high light.

Easy coral. Stable salinity and temperature, plenty of nutrients in the water, medium/low flow, quality light. I'd stick them on the sandbed or low on the rocks and just let them do their thing. Careful neglect

I started with 2 polyps. They turned into this I had to move them around till they were happy. then they took off. I found they liked half way up in a 180 with a little shade.

My Rasta's like the light just fine, but they prefer to be a little more protected from flow compared to some others i have... Bam Bams grow like annoying weeds

In mine they are about 18 inches from my AI Vegas, on a rack with low-med flow depending on the mode setting throughout the day, and I keep my alk around 9. From what my local hobby group and I have found, the rastas we have been trading amongst ourselves seem to grow better with a higher alkalinity (for zoas).

Here's mine at the top right. I started with about 10p a year and a half ago. They are covering the whole back side of the rock too. I have them under T5's with moderate flow. Seems like the grow slow at first but once they take off they really explode haha.

I was going to buy a few Rastas at $10 ea but found a frag for $30. When I got it home I counted 30 polyps!! They are all very tiny though. Anyone know if rastas are typically small or if they could be lacking something?
