Thanks, just wish I had more corals to photograph....I got rid of most everything about 6months ago as I was going to get out of the hobby then I changed my mind after I had gotten rod of my rarest stuff, now I have to restock.....

Awesome shots!!

Did you move your light around to light all of these perfectly, or is there some other trick?

My tank is designed in such a way that I have multiple areas that I can use for lighting, shots were done with a single MH and then the corals were staged or moved around untill I got the pefrect lighting (well almost)

This shot is a little irritating as I can't move the cloves and the xenia behind it is distracting, but makes for an interesting shot

Very nice! The EXIF data says no, but did you use flash for any of these. The lighting is excellent, especially in the first one.

No flash, This is a small tank (40g) with a foam back system that I designed specifically for coral photography. Let me dig up the thread on it's build and it may help other to understand how I stage my shots. Funny how the first shot was taken after I moved the polyps off the stage and placed it on the bottom left side of the tank away from the lights.

I really like the clove polyp shot. I would crop out the xenia, you may lose a polyp or two but would be worth it

(the above 2 corals are from a fellow reefers tank)
The second one is Atlantis Pink Polyp....3rd one I'm not sure....I'll ask the guy who owns the tank/corals.. I've got about 50 photos from the shoot today, Bob has some incredible corals, lots of acans to follow

The first photo (of the most recent post) looks like a hydnophora to my untrained eyes.

Great shots!!!
