well i ordered a small RBTA from bluezooaquatics. Should be coming in Saturday. My question is, how do i properly acclimate the anemone to avoid stress?

When i release it in my tank should i place it in the spot i want it or should i just drop it out of the bag and let it crawl/swim to where ever it wants to be?

Just place it in a spot where you want it to be. Try to find a crevice or a hole to place its foot and put it there. You shouldn't have too much trouble of it moving if you find a good place for its foot and it has good water movement.
You will find alot of good information about rbtas on this website.

Try doing it with the lights off. First time I did it I think I shook it and it only lasted 1 day, second time I tried I introduced it at night with the lights already off cuz I finish acclimating it after the lights when off. And its been 3+ moths and still got it.
