RBTA and Shrimps

Hello all. I just added my first Anemone to my 120g after a 2 hour drip acclimation. Basically as soon as it hit the sand bed (its already attached to a rock) my peppermint shrimp ran out and snagged a very small piece off. Not long after the cleaner shrimp was on his way over to check things out, and he started picking at it too. I've temporarily placed a plastic container with holes drilled through it over top of the 'nem to protect it from the pesky shrimp. Is this normal, is it a bad sign, or will it just take a little bit until the shrimps leave it alone?

Anything I can do to help my new nem out? She's pretty small still, about 2" wide, but looked very healthy before i bought it and in the container while dripping.

Thanks,
Matt

Your nem may have released some mucus and the shrimp are going after that. Shrimp just love to clean off dead or decaying corals and animals. Just protect your little nem and feed your shrimp for a few days. Don't think they are harming it though.

All should be fine.
