It's very unusual for a Tomato Clown not to immediately take to a BTA. Maybe it's tank-raised. I don't think it should take long once instinct kicks in.
I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know whether the behavior is particular to the three BTAs I have, but Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve noticed all three of them have their foot attached to the ceiling of their crevice (rather than the floor, back wall or one of the sides). Itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s something to think about when you select the orientation of the rock your RBTA is attached to. The anemone may feel uncomfortable if the crevice is ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œopen to the skyââ"šÂ¬Ã‚Â.
Of course you know the next step is to get Christina a boyfriend.
If you want to do that, just wait about three to six months for Christina to get firmly on the path to becoming female, and for her anemone to get settled in. Sometime late this summer, or early fall get another Tomato Clown about half Christinaââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s size. The size difference should ensure thereââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s no question as to whose boss in the relationship, so the pairing should progress with no fighting at all.
Hereââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s my pair, shortly after the smaller one was introduced (my female, Celeste, is on the right):
They spawned only three months after being introduced to each other.
