Rbta deflating too frequently?

Here he is now. This is the first time I've caught him this deflated but at night around 8pm his tips definitely deflate. Also, from time to time I catch him with his mouth stretched out about but maybe half the width of a standard pencil.

I've had him since the 25th of October. He hasn't moved from where I put him. He was acclimated for about an hour before he went into the tank. I have left him alone so far and have not tried to feed him.

No nitrates. Radion xr30 gen 3 over the tank. He's in a 60 cube.

I have one green one that deflated everyday for months at around the same time every day. I have 3 rose bubble and two never deflate ever and one deflates mouth gaping every 3 days or so. I have a sunburst which never deflates and another green that never deflates all anemones in one tank. My point is that bubbles make no sense and some just do it randomly based one so many different reasons. They are extremely hardy as well so I wouldn't not worry about it and just let him be. The 25th of last month is still new to the tank as well.

Canne is right. Another thing is the light may be too strong for him. Maybe try shading that spot a little and see if he comes out.

Well, he has been coming out. This is the first time I've caught him this deflated. So I don't think it could be too much light. He's all he way at he bottom of the tank and my radions are at 50% 12k for about 10 hours.

Don't worry about btas deflating it's something they do frequently and some do more than others. I wouldn't feed it until it comes out of it's hiding spot. If you do they get the idea they can eat there. Eventually it will come out. Also I agree with your lights might be to bright for it. Can you dim them down a bit? It's not that your lights are too bright for a bta, but they could be much brighter than where it came from. So they need to be acclimated to your lights.

Ok. I'll look into that. I just figured that since he was at the floor about 34" below the lights, and some Zoas on my floor stretch it wouldn't be the issue.

I have around 50 ish and none of them ever deflate when the light is on.

They all want as close to the 175MH light as they can get.

outy, every one of them that I've had does after eating. This is the only time they do it during daylight. Otherwise it's mostly at night or after lights out
