RBTA Feeding

RBU1

Moving on Up
Would like to get some feedback on what everyone is feeding their RBTA's. Yesterday I picked up some fresh cod from the seafood section of my local grocery store. I cut it up in small pieces and dropped some on the anemone. It sucked it up.

I usually feed silversides but wanted to try something different.

So what do you feed?

i went to a korean store, and got a preservative-free fresh-frozen sea food mix: shrimp, fish, octopus, scallops, mussels, etc. i blended it with some selcon and garlic, and then froze it in small sandwich bags--all laid flat. after they froze, i hit them with a hammer to break it into serving sized pieces.

i just throw a piece or two in the tank and a piece or two right into the nem when i tire of other stuff.

everybody loves it!

Usually its frozen mysis or silverside's but occasionally my wife make homemade sushi. I ask her to save a few small pieces of tuna for the nems and boy do they love it!

I freeze a large scallop and then shave off small pieces to feed the rbta and corals. as soon as the scallop hits the water the corals start to open up for feeding.
