Hey folks.
My RBTA split about 2 months ago and I'm selling one of the clones now. It's starting to crawl up the overflow box which makes me uncomfortable, and there's not really room in a 29G for 2 RBTAs!

Here's a pic from this morning of the one I'm selling:

And here's a pic of the other one - it's easier to see size and coloring on this pic:

It's about 4ish inches.
I bought the original when it was smaller than this for $100. I'm selling this one for $50.
Also - do I just touch the foot lightly with a butter knife to get him to let go??

I thought RBTA meant they were the kind that have bubbles on the tips. Is that simply my misunderstanding?

In captivity it depends on the anemone and tank conditions. You will see some with and some without. To further add to the confusion, if you put it in your tank, it may bubble. We can't know.

RBTA is rose bubble tip anemone. Bubble tips are Entamacea quadricolor sp. There is much debate as to what exactly causes them to bubble...some say food, others say flow or lighting are variables.

You got me there Steve - maybe someone who knows will chime in.
I asked this question in the past and someone told me I just have to give it a big meal to make the tentacles bubbly. I tried that - it resulted in this split.......
